Themed Bridging the gap between AI and Network Softwarization”, IEEE NetSoft 2020 includes a high-quality technical program presenting cutting-edge research on various challenges in network softwarization. Make sure to have a look at our excellent line-up of speakers ! To provide an engaging event experience, we teamed up with Whova , an Event Management System. Make sure to follow the guidelines for seamless participation in the conference and download the Whova App. NetSoft 2020 owes its success to a dedicated community of researchers from academia and industry that has formed over the recent years. First, we are grateful to the many authors who submitted timely papers. Second, we would like to thank the numerous reviewers who scrutinized more than 180 conference, demo and workshop papers, so that only proposals that meet the highest standards have been selected for presentation at NetSoft 2020 and co-located workshops. Needless to say, we duly acknowledge the hard work and tireless efforts of the many volunteers in the Organizing and Technical Program committees that allowed us offering such a comprehensive program. Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to our patrons and partners for their support and generosity: Intel, Huawei, Ghent University and imec. Looking forward to meet you online during IEEE NetSoft 2020! Covid-19 Important update: IEEE NetSoft 2020 will run as a virtual conference on June 29 – 3 July, 2020. As you are aware, the World Health Organization officially declared the novel coronavirus COVID-19 a pandemic. Governments around the world are now issuing restrictions on travel, gatherings, and meetings in a global effort to limit the spread of the virus. In such a sanitary crisis, the health and safety of the IEEE community is our utmost priority, and IEEE is supporting these efforts. Based on the current situation, we have considered that the conditions would not be met for a normal on-site event by end of June. Following the advice and guidelines from healthcare officials and local authorities, the Organizing Committee of IEEE NetSoft 2020 under the guidance of its Steering Committee, has thus decided that the conference will be run as a virtual event on June 29 – July 3, 2020. We would like to first thank our colleagues from Belgium who kindly agreed to host IEEE NetSoft 2020 in Ghent, and we are grateful to its local team for efficiently initiating its organization. We are very sorry that we had to cancel this venue. Yet we are sure that we will have other opportunities to return to Ghent in the near future. Although IEEE NetSoft 2020 cannot be held physically, the integrity and quality of the research and content will remain and now be experienced in the virtual environment. Accepted papers for IEEE NetSoft 2020 will be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore Digital Library after they are presented at the virtual conference. Information and instructions on how to prepare for a virtual presentation will be sent separately. Registration fees for IEEE NetSoft 2020 will be adjusted accordingly. We extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all in our technical community for their understanding and community engagement. Obviously, this global health crisis is a unique challenge that has impacted many members of the IEEE family.
